Abstract
La interoperabilidad es un punto clave para cualquier organización de gestión de información. En esta línea, este trabajo propone una revisión y actualización del mapeo del perfil de aplicación de la aplicación Odilo Memoria Digital (odiloa3w) con las Normas Españolas de Descripción Archivística (NEDA). El objetivo es facilitar la interoperabilidad entre herramientas orientadas a la gestión de archivos, la visualización y la difusión de la información. A partir de una investigación bibliográfica y documental que analizó los metadatos empleados en el perfil de la aplicación odiloa3w se estudiaron los metadatos de NEDA para, seguidamente, identificar los tipos de relaciones entre ambas propuestas. Finalmente, se mapearon los metadatos de odiloa3w y NEDA para la entidad «documento de archivo» prestando especial atención a las consecuencias y diferencias que resultan de este proceso. Como resultado, se obtuvo un mapeo entre las etiquetas-campo de odiloa3w y los atributos de las normas NEDA que permiten concluir que se proporciona un medio para el intercambio de información entre herramientas de gestión de metadatos, así como la descripción, la visualización, la difusión y la exportación de datos en NEDA con en el software analizado que puede ser extensible a otras herramientas. También se evidencia que NEDA no abarca todos los metadatos necesarios para las organizaciones que utilizan esta solución de archivo digital lo que motiva que el perfil de aplicación odiloa3w se amplíe periódicamente con nuevos elementos procedentes de diferentes estándares y requisitos
Interoperability is a key issue for any information management organisation. In this regard, this paper proposes a review and update of the mapping of the application profile of the Odilo Memoria Digital (odiloa3w) application with the Spanish Standards for Archival Description (NEDA). The aim is to facilitate interoperability between tools for archive management, visualisation and dissemination of information. Based on bibliographic and documentary research that analysed the metadata used in the odiloa3w application profile, the NEDA metadata was studied in order to identify the types of relationships between the two proposals. Finally, the odiloa3w and NEDA metadata for the entity ‘archive document’ were mapped, paying special attention to the consequences and differences resulting from this process. As a result, a mapping was obtained between the odiloa3w field tags and the attributes of the NEDA standards, which allows us to conclude that a means is provided for the exchange of information between metadata management tools, as well as the description, visualisation, dissemination and export of data in NEDA with the analysed software, which can be extended to other tools. It is also evident that NEDA does not cover all the metadata required by organisations using this digital archiving solution, which is why the odiloa3w application profile is periodically expanded with new elements from different standards and requirements
