Description
Abstract
Abstract: Three copper coins from the Late Antique period (6th-7th century AD) similar to the Crusafont types F.49 and F.51 and Pliego types 12-13 are presented. All of them have been recovered in different areas of the Late Antique archaeological site of València la Vella (Ribaroja de Túria, València), which indicates a great economic dynamism and an accentuated monetary circulation there. The study presented here is a novelty as it could be a new type of Visigothic copper with cruciform motifs on both sides or a new variant of a series that has been scarcely documented.
