Abstract
Jorge Guillén fue inicialmente publicado en Italia en antologías colectivas, pero es
gracias a su amigo y también mentor de su hijo Claudio, Renato Poggioli, codirector de la revista
florentina Inventario y profesor en Estados Unidos, que se publican libros suyos, especialmente
con el editor Scheiwiller y su colección «All’Insegna del Pesce d’Oro». También aparece la
antología seleccionada y traducida por Juana Granados para Cisalpina y más tarde la de Oreste
Macrí para la editorial Sansoni de Federico Gentile, hijo del filósofo. La correspondencia con su
hija Teresa muestra los proyectos frustrados, como el de la editorial Guanda para una edición
conjunta de poesías de Jorge Guillén y Pedro Salinas en un único volumen, y el de la editorial
Lerici, así como evidencia el entusiasmo del poeta español por el modo en que es recibido en
dicho país, obteniendo el Premio Nazionale di Poesia Città di Firenze y el Premio de Poesia Etna-
Taorminia. Entre sus traductores, particularmente para las revistas, y editores encontramos a los
amigos Eugenio Montale, Carlo Bo, Renato Poggioli, Leone Traverso, Mario Luzi, Piero Bigongiari
y, por supuesto, Oreste Macrí
Jorge Guillén was initially published in Italy in collective anthologies, but it is thanks to his friend and the mentor of his son Claudio, Renato Poggioli, co-director of the Florentine magazine Inventario and a professor in the United States of America, that his books are published, especially with the editor Scheiwiller and his collection «All’Insegna del Pesce d’Oro». He would also appeared in the anthology selected and translated by Juana Granados for Cislapina and later in the one by Oreste Macrí for the publishing house Sansoni owned by Federico Gentile, son of the philosopher. The correspondence with his daughter Teresa shows the failed projects, like the one of the publishing house Guanda for a joint edition of Jorge Guillén and Pedro Salinas poems in a single volume or the one by the Lerici publishing house. It also shows the enthusiasm of the Spanish poet for the way he is received in Italy, wining the Premio Nazionale di Poesia Città di Firenze and the Premio de Poesia Etna-Taorminia. Among his translators, especially in magazines, and editors are found his friends: Eugenio Montale, Carlo Bo, Renato Poggioli, Leone Traverso, Mario Luzi, Piero Bigongiari and of course, Oreste Macrí.
