Description
Abstract
Abstract: The response-to-intervention model has proven effective in improving literacy for all students, while providing rapid, intensive, and targeted support for those at risk of developing learning difficulties. The PANDA program was developed to apply this model in schools in the Region of Murcia and is implemented through three lines of action. The first consists of weekly classroom routines aimed at all students to improve literacy. The second offers small-group interventions for at-risk students. The third line focuses on individualized interventions carried out by specialists in Therapeutic Pedagogy or Speech and Language for children with severe and persistent literacy difficulties. The program was implemented for six months in 14 schools in the Region of Murcia and yielded very encouraging preliminary results in the three lines applied: classroom routines, small-group interventions, and individualized support. This experience served as a pilot, paving the way for its future implementation and evaluation through experimental studies.
