- PublicationOpen AccessCompetencias básicas y procesos perceptivos: factores claves en la formación y orientación de los jóvenes en riesgo de exclusión educativa y sociolaboral(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2014-06-12) Olmos Rueda, PatriciaThis research suggests improvements in guidance processes and initial vocational training of young people between 15-21 years old that are at risk of educational, social and labour exclusion, drawing on the needs emanating from the findings. The present study is based on a comparative analysis of the self-perception of the mastery of key competencies of 228 young people involved in 18 training programmes in the surrounding area of Barcelona, Spain, and others' perceptions on the matter (16 tutors and 9 entrepreneurs). The results show differences between the perceptions of the two groups of participants. Based on the findings, an interrelated model of key skills was designed. In this model, linguistic competence, learning to learn competence, social-citizenship competence and labour competence become the axis that articulate the connections between competencies. Likewise, this model sets training guidelines within these training programmes.
- PublicationOpen AccessEffect of physical-kinesthetic intelligence exercises on developing motor abilities and basic skills of basketball in female students(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de publicaciones, 2022) Baqir Mashkoor, Najat; Hateem Hameed, NaghamThe learning process needs an appropriate method and technique to be implemented among the players. The basketball game contains a set of skills that need a close relationship between actions, neurological, mental and muscular abilities and the control of bodily movement. One of the important factors in learning, improving and developing motor abilities and learning the skill as well as the planning performance is through learners’ ability to analyze, plan and solve problems in learning processes. The physical intelligence created by the theory of intellectual development is one of the types of intelligence that must be taught to the learners to develop basic basketball skills, that need to be controlled, compatible and balanced during the performance of the skills, including shooting skills in basketball ring. The primary aim of the present study was to identify the levels of physical intelligence and to find out the significant difference between the pre and post-tests in the physical intelligence, motor abilities and basic skills between the experimental and control group. The present study had an experimental study design. The research “community” was determined from the students of the fourth school stage (grade 9) of Al-Amal High School for Girls in Baghdad for the academic year 2019-2020. A total of 20 students were recruited as sample participants for the study, who represented 11.29% of the total population. The participants were allocated into two groups, i.e. experimental group and the control group. The participants of the experimental group received training with physical intelligence exercises, whereas control group participants received training with the traditional method.

- PublicationOpen AccessThe muscular ability of the two legs and its relationship to some basic skills of handball(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2022) Abod, Zahraa Fadel; AlHaddad, Noor HatemThe aim of this study was to identify the relationship between the muscular abilities of the two legs and the performance of those skills among the research sample. The researchers used the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the problem to be investigated. As for the research sample, it was represented by 16 handball players of the Beish Merka Handball Club. The data was processed through the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the muscular abilities of the two legs, the strength speed of the legs and Sargent's vertical jump test (p < 0.05). The relationship obtained from the results of the research is direct, that is, whenever the muscular capabilities of the two legs are high, the performance in the skill tests is also high and vice versa. Therefore, the researchers recommend the development of exercises specific for the muscular abilities of the two legs to develop the basic skills of handball.
