    De la esclava a la mujer antillana contemporánea: crónica literaria de una maternidad traumática

    The aim of this study is to analyse the most relevant specific traits of motherhood in francophone Antilles, through the study of the evoked vision of certain female writers. The characters of their narrative allow us to verify the intimate rela- tionship that is established between the particular conception of motherhood and the slavery past in its less known dimension. Resistance, infanticide, solitude, abandonment and broken family ties, are some of the aspects related to the subject of motherhood and the search for identity that emerge from the analysed works of fiction. Indeed, the mentioned aspects of the family structure, the position of women in relation to motherhood and the inherent complexities to the Antilles' society, to its past and its evolution, become a major source of female inspiration and differentiation.

    La evolución del debate en torno a la búsqueda de identidad en la literatura francófona de las Antillas francesas.

    Résumé: L'évolution du débat sur la recherche d'identité dans la littérature francophone des Antilles françaises. Etant donné la vivacité et l'ampleur que la littérature francophone a atteintes, malgré sa courte histoire dans les Antilles françaises, un grand débat autour de la recherche d'identité s'y est développé parallélement. Nous proposons donc de faire un parcours d'á peine un demi-siécle, en analysant l'évolution des mouvements intellectuels concernant cette recherche d'identité originelle. De cette maniére, nous avons fait une synthése du corpus théorique complexe accompli par ces écrivains guadeloupéens et martiniquais, qui constituent un exemple remarquable de la capacité á se définir eux-mêmes. Cela nous a permis finalement de retracer les différentes étapes de mise á jour et de concrétisation de l'identité, pour mettre en évidence ce processus exemplaire d'autodétermination lié á la production littéraire antillaise.
