Adolescents’ smartphone use in family interactions: acceptability, behavior, and consequences

Integration of preference heterogeneity into sustainable nature conservation: from practice to policy
(Elsevier, 2022-02) Zabala Garcia, Jose Angel; Albaladejo García, José Antonio; Navarro, Nuria; Martinez Paz, José Miguel; Alcon, Francisco; Economía Aplicada
The aim of this work is to assess and understand the social drivers that determine the willingness to pay for sustainable management measures to preserve a Natura 2000 area. These social drivers of the support for nature conservation were then included in the design of economic instrument to support nature conservation. In a contingent valuation exercise, the local population in the Cabezo de la Jara and Rambla de Nogalte protected areas (SE Spain) stated their willingness to pay for sustainable management measures aimed at their conservation. Among the socio-demographics, environmental attitudes and experiential drivers, income and environmental commitment were found to be the only significant drivers in support of nature conservation, revealing preference heterogeneity. Economic instruments, specifically green taxes and user fees, are proposed, taking into account the sources of heterogeneity in order to ensure financial support for the measures and greater social acceptability. Hence, our research adds to the existing literature through the design of an economic instrument to support nature conservation, considering preference heterogeneity.

Study on the use, acceptability and implementation of the Unified Protocol in general health psychologists in Spain
(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2022) Peris Baquero, Óscar; Osma, Jorge; Martínez Segura, Violeta
The dissemination of evidence-based psychological treatments (EBPT) is a pending task for Clinical Psychology. Through an online sur-vey and following the Theoretical Framework of Acceptability, we ana-lyzed the opinions about use, acceptability and intention to use in the fu-ture of the Unified Protocol for the transdiagnostic treatment of emotional disorders (UP) in a sample of 153 professionals of General Health Psy-chology (GHPs). All participants took a training course in the UP and were grouped depending on their previous experience in the UP application. The results showed high scores in acceptability and intention to use in the future in GHPs regardless of the group. Finally, statistically significant cor-relations were found between intention to use in the future and affective attitude, consistency of the intervention and perceived efficacy (in both groups) and self-efficacy (in the group of GHPs without experience in the use of UP). The UP is an EBPT that presents high levels of acceptance and intention to use by the GHPs who received training in this interven-tion, this will facilitate its dissemination and implementation and will allow a greater number of people to benefit from this treatment.
